het beste moet nog komen

Onderstaand verslag van een aspect van de viering van de verjaardag van de Thaise koning komt uit de nieuwsbrief van de directeur van Grace. Ik vond het bemoedigend en zeker waard om te delen. 

The people of Thailand celebrated the  king's birthday.  Something quite remarkable and unique  happened this year.  A participant attending the birthday celebrations in Bangkok made the following report about a prayer and praise gathering:  "....When I arrived at the lawn of the Grand Palace grounds, I could hardly believe my eyes or ears!  ...there were tens of thousands of people everywhere - enjoying the beautiful lights and decorations!"  Grand Palace lawn on the day of the king's birthday. "And the prayer and praise gathering was not just on the stage the equivalent of 3 blocks away. There were speakers set up all over the whole area broadcasting the praise and worship and prayers!!!! EVERYONE was hearing the Gospel!!  This went on for almost 2 hours before being turned over to secular artists for a concert.  I found out that the Thai National Church has requested permission to hold a prayer gathering there many times in the past and it has always been denied, but this time they were invited, and the crowd was more than 100 times greater than if they had organized it and promoted it themselves!  Praise God for His perfect timing, favor and blessing!  We stood on the very ground, where for 100's of years, sacrifices of all kinds have been made to idols, demonic entities - spirits of the city, and proclaimed that Jesus is LORD MOST HIGH, blessing the city, taking back the ground! Even now, I cry to think that God has allowed me to see with my eyes, things that I prayed into more than 20 years ago - never in my wildest dreams did I think I would see such a day.  Thank you for your prayers for the city of Bangkok and the nation of Thailand.  Pray that the name of Jehovah God - maker of heaven and earth, will be exalted in the nations - that the floodwaters will recede as a sign of His greatness and glory and that all will know that He is the One True God.  There was a shaking and a shifting in the heavenly realms last night - and you were a part of what God did here.  Thank you for standing w/ us, and w/ the nation of Thailand in prayer-   Don't stop now - the best is surely yet to come!"
